First look at the awesome 2011 Topps Allen and Ginter Baseball

Topps has released images of their upcoming Allen and Ginter set and it looks fantastic. The base card (shown here) is a mix of classic A&G styling with some modern graphics, but it works. Cards of historical and other non-sport figures will again be featured, and at least three "hits" (autograph or relic cards) will come in each box. There will even be a relic card featuring a strand of Geronimo's hair! In keeping with their tradition of quirky cards, Topps will also include "seed" cards in Allen & Ginter packs, which Topps says will grow into the plant featured on the card if you plant it. The set is due in stores in July.

The hit TV series Jericho, which went off the air a couple of years ago, still remains popular with many fans. Now, IDW Publishing is bringing Jericho back with a line of comic books, developed by the same folks who produced the show. The first three issues came out last year, but the final three issues were delayed until now. If you head to your local comic shop right now, you'll find "Jericho: Redux" #1, which collects the first three issues for those who missed them last year, as well as issue #4, shown here. If you haven't watched Jericho, I suggest you buy the comics, and either buy the DVD sets (they are fairly inexpensive) or rent them on Netflix. New Transformers & GI Joe cartoons coming

The Hub, a new network for kids, is premiering two new shows this month that fanboys will love. Transformers: Prime premieres November 29, featuring Peter Cullen as the voice of Optimus in a CGI animated show.

G.I. Joe Renegades premieres Friday, November 26. Renegades is not related to the Resolute mini series from last year, and honestly, the animation style for Renegades seems a little weird and low budget to me. In addition, Cobra is not a terrorist organization, it's a corporation. Seriously. Sounds like more anti-capitalism nonsense. Hopefully, it will deliver.

The best $5 video game ever

With new video games going for $60 a pop, most gamers wouldn't expect much for a game that costs $5. However, if you can find a Family Dollar near you, keep an eye out for the Rock Band track pack for Xbox 360, a mini-game with 20 tracks that only costs a Lincoln. There are at least two different track packs: a metal version and a rock version. The track pack allows you to play the songs on a Rock Band mini video game included on the disc. If you already own a copy of Rock Band, you can download the tracks into your game. Considering tracks usually cost about a buck each, getting 20 for $5 is a great deal.
